Put some colors in your plate


Have you ever noticed that most of the time the fruits and vegetables that have the  same colors contain the same vitamins and minerals ? 

As an example, most of the vegetables that are green contain iron, some which are orange too. If you look at the nature, iron is green when normal, becomes orange when oxidized. 

We use to associate the Vitamin C to the orange color, and the Vitamin A to the yellow color. 

So if you try to put as much as different colors in your meals, you’ll have a better chance to eat a wider variety of vitamins and minerals.
