There are plenty of different varieties of sprouts. The most common is soy sprout, but you can find also alfalfa sprouts, broccoli sprout, garlic sprouts, lentil sprouts, radish sprouts, pumpkin sprouts, sunflowers sprouts and wheat sprouts.
They have the same health benefits than the grown vegetables but with increased effects and other advantages:
- they contains more proteins which is good if you are looking for an alternative to animals proteins (very useful if you are vegan).
- they are rich in vitamins and minerals, and as you eat them raw the nutrients are not destructed by the heat cooking.
- you can grow them yourself in a small area of your kitchen.
